WHY CORK
Cork comes from the bark of the cork oak (Quercus suber), the most abundant tree in Portugal. It's harvested by hand without cutting the tree down, and the bark regrows every nine years or so. The day of extraction in Portugal is called Tiradia, which is where this brand's story begins. Cork is naturally durable and biodegradable, an easy swap for leather.
